Three Amigas--A young girl's journey into leadership with her two furry best friends.
Did you know I wrote a children's book? It's on amazon KDP for age 9-13 and is in the books about dogs section. I haven't sold many because I haven't marketed nor does it have a nice cover. I'm now working on those details.
Three Amigas is a story of a young girl and her two furry besties--one a wise older Rotti and the other a young and naive Spaniel. The main character is based off of my niece and the two furry besties are based off of my two beloved furry companions who await me at heaven's gate--Sasha and Laya.
This book is basically a day in the life of Maddy, Sasha, and Laya with lessons for readers that are veiled as lessons for young Laya. Book One lessons were on breedism, choosing the right breed for your needs/wants/practices, and being the alpha FOR the good of the pack. If you know someone who might benefit from this book, please share it. I need reviews.
I've had the thought of writing further books but it ain't easy. Simply re-reading this book makes me ball with pride, love, and the deepest case of missing them that you can imagine.
Recently I've been playing with C-gpt and had the idea of asking it to write subsequent books. I shared with it the last section of my book, "Three Amigas" so it can get a feel of my tone etc. I gave it the three lessons I want included in book two.
And I pressed Enter to get part one of Book Two
Y'know, a few years ago someone suggested AI when I was writing copy for social posts at work and I was appalled yet here I am.
I don't know if I could write through the tears of loving and missing them so much. The sample I've been given totally friggin encompasses so many aspects of the vibe of my book. With the sample I gave it, it gathered so much info.
But in this moment I also realize that the fact that the AI is able to do this is a testament to how I wrote the first book. Writing that book was a way to immortalize my furry besties who honestly, both left me too soon. Their personalities in the book are a smidge softened 😉 than they were in real life but that's ok. I believe that if I owned them today, they would have that calm respectful demeanor because I've learned how to be the alpha for the good of the pack.
So ... it looks like I'll be publishing a Second Book.
"Three Amigas--Maddy Takes the Lead"
